Hyundai i10 wins ‘Best Small Car for the City’ award
The popular Hyundai i10 has been awarded What Car? Best Small Car for the City at a recent awards ceremony.
The ceremony, which was hosted virtually due to the recent restrictions, is held by one of the most respected consumer automotive publications.
The judges were impressed by the Hyundai i10’s compact size and excellent visibility that really come into their own in city environments. The i10, despite its compact size, doesn’t feel out of its depth on the open roads due to the 1.2litre petrol engine.
Compared to its predecessor, the Hyundai i10 has had a wide range of updates, making it almost an entirely different car. Designed with technology and safety features in mind, the i10 also offers a five seat configuration, whereas most other vehicles in the class only cater for four.
Available as a manual or automatic, the Hyundai i10 offers the power you need for those out of town journeys.
For a compact hatchback, the Hyundai i10 is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of rear legroom and a 252 litre boot which can fit in a pram or your regular supermarket shop.
Living with the Hyundai i10
Another added feature is the ISOFIX car seatbelt points for easy installation of up to two car seats in the rear.
One of the main updates to the i10 is the range of technology features that are now included. All models come with a rear view camera and an 8” touchscreen that integrates directly with your smartphone as standard. For those looking for additional comfort, the Premium models boast a heated steering wheel and heated front seats, privacy glass and 16” alloy wheels.
Apple Play and Android Auto are included as standard, allowing you to stay connected on all of your journeys.
The Hyundai i10 would best suit those who will be doing regular city driving but also the occasional journey which involves travelling long distances, perhaps on wide open roads.
